The primary goal of this thesis is to assess the effect foreign direct investment inflows on the energy industry, specifically on energy demand in Vietnam, which is a developing nation with a long history of FDI attraction. The thesis examines this impact on various aspects of energy demand, including total energy consumption, renewable, electric energy consumption, and energy intensity for the period of 1990 to 2013.
