dc.description.abstractThe gender pay gap plays an important role in global wage development. There are many reasons for the gender pay gap. As a gender issue, gender discrimination must be considered. What impact will it have on the gender pay gap? This paper mainly uses the contrast analysis method and literature research method to comprehensively and deeply explore the impact of gender discrimination on the gender pay gap. The paper found that gender discrimination has no significant impact on gender pay, but it indirectly affects gender productivity-related factors through social norms and expectations. Occupation and industry are the main causes of the gender pay gap, `wage discrimination, promotion discrimination, and occupation discrimination are the main manifestations of labor market discrimination. Anti-gender discrimination contributes to achieve gender equality and narrow the gender pay gap, which is significant to economic and social development.hu_HU
