The thesis overviews the theoretical background of the open fractures of the extremity limited to the segment between the shoulder and the hand in the span of two years. Secondly it describes the general statistics of such injury in the Traumatology Division of Kenézy Gyula Campus, University Of Debrecen Medical Center, which includes antibiotics usage, causes of the fractures, types of hardware used, location of the fracture and so on. Thirdly the cases of three patients were selected therefrom were described in chronological order with X-ray recordings to further illustrate the treatment plan and progress.
