dc.description.abstract	A történelem folyamán számos kapcsolódási pontot találunk Itália és Magyarország között, melyek Debrecen városával kapcsolatban is kimutathatók. Az itt időző vagy élő itáliaiak meghatározó szerepet játszottak mind a város, mind az ország vonatkozásában kiemelkedő fontosságú eseményekben, tevékenységekben, a társadalmi-kulturális és gazdasági élet alakításában, így hozzájárultak ahhoz is, hogy Debrecen meghatározó szereplője legyen a magyar történelemnek. A város történetében kiemelkedő itáliaiak közül a disszertációban a Friuliból érkező bevándorlók kerülnek részletesebb bemutatásra. Közülük egyértelműen kiemelhető a debreceni gazdasági és társadalmi-kulturális életében egyaránt fontos szerepet játszó Vidoni család. A munka a Friuliból induló és Bécsbe, illetve az Osztrák-Magyar Monarchia területére érkező, elsősorban szezonális jellegű emigráció leírásával alapozza mega Vidoni fivérek debreceni gyáralapításának előzményeit. Ezt követően a hazánkba érkező friuli kivándorlókról közöl adatokat a kutatás során azonosított személyek foglalkozását és térbeli elhelyezkedését figyelembe véve, eljutva a szalámiárusokig, majd a szalámikészítőkig, akiknek tevékenysége a 19. század második felében újabb és újabb szalámigyárak megalapításáig vezetett. A főbb központok és legfontosabb vállalkozók említését követően a Boschetti család debreceni vállalkozásának áttekintő jellegű bemutatása következik, melyre a Vidoni Testvérek és Társuk cég közvetlen előzményeként tekinthetünk. Az alapítás körülményeit, a gyár működtetéséhez nélkülözhetetlen szezonális munkavállalók és a nemzetközi ismertségre szert tett termékek előállításához alkalmazott speciális munkafolyamatok bemutatása követi. Ezt foglalja keretbe az üzem történetének részletességre törekvő bemutatása a megalapítástól kezdve a működés mérföldkövein, valamint a világháborúk viszontagságain keresztül egészen a megszűnésig, a debreceni város- és helytörténeti sajátosságokkal összefüggésben. Az utolsó rész a téma lezárásaként a Vidoni cég korabeli ausztriai, elsősorban bécsi és olaszországi, főképp artegnai tevékenységét és a família debreceni ágához köthető családtagjainak nem gazdasági területen betöltött szerepét is ismerteti, különös hangsúlyt fektetve az Olaszbarátok Monti Körének működésére. A kutatás eredményeként megállapítható, hogy a Vidoni család több mint hat évtizedes debreceni jelenléte egyértelműen az egyik kiemelkedő jelentőségű részlete a friuliak magyarországi tevékenységének, mely nemcsak gazdasági téren befolyásolta a város életét. A debreceni üzem ugyanakkor a Pick, a Herz és a Dozzi mellett nemzetközi szinten is ismertté tette a magyar húsfeldolgozást és annak kiváló minőségű termékeit, ötvözve a magyar alapanyagot a friuli szaktudással, melyek révén egy egyedülálló termék jöhetett létre. In the course of history, many points of contact between Italy and Hungary can be found, which can also be detected in connection with the city of Debrecen. The Italians who lived here played an important role in events and activities of outstanding importance for both the city and the country, and contributed to their socio-cultural and economic life. Therefore, Friulan emigration has been instrumental for Debrecen to become a decisive reality in the Hungarian history. Among the distinguished Italians in the history of the city, the thesis presents theFriulian immigrants in more detail. Among them, the Vidoni familycan be clearly highlightedfor its significant addition to the city. The thesis first outlines the background of the establishment of the Vidoni brothers in Debrecen by describing the emigration process — mainly of seasonal character — from Friuli to Vienna and to the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Then it provides data on Friulian emigrants arriving in Hungaryin the same period, taking into account the occupation and the location of the individuals identified during the research. Moreover, the thesis focuses on the activity of the salami vendors and salami makers, whose work led to the establishment of more and more salami factories in the second half of the 19th century. A review of themain centres and the most important entrepreneurs of this industry is followed by an overview of the Boschetti family's business in Debrecen, which can be considered as an immediateantecedent of the ‘Vidoni Brothers and Partners’ company. The following chapters present the circumstances of the establishment of the factory, the presentation of the seasonal workersemployed by the Vidoni —essentials for the production of the factory — and of the special work processes involved in the preparation of their internationally renowned products. All these aspects are framed by the detailed presentation of the history of the plant from its foundation through the most salient phases of its activity — and over two World wars — to its cessation, emphasising the relationship with the local history of Debrecen of the same period.Finally, the last part of the thesis presents the activities of the Vidonicompany in Austria, mainly in Vienna, in Italy, mainly in Artegna, and the non-economic role of the family members in Debrecen also with special regard to the Pro-Italian Monti Circle. The thesis clearly demonstratesthat the decades-long presence of the Vidoni family in Debrecen was one of the most important elements of the Friulians’ activities in Hungary, which influenced the life of the city in many ways. At the same time,together with the Pick, Herz and Dozzi company, Vidonis’plant in Debrecen also made known the Hungarian meat processing industry and its high quality products worldwide, combining the Hungarian raw materials with the Friulian expertise, which enabled a unique product to be created.	hu_HU
