Interaction between people is vital. Information, ideas and thoughts are passed through the channel of communication that involves all the interactions between people. The most common parts of interaction are the phenomena of interruption and simultaneous speech. According to the unwritten rule that only one person can appropriately speak at the same time, interruption and simultaneous speech violate the current speaker's right to the turn. However, what happens when interruption takes place but there is no intention to turn-taking action at all? Interruptions and simultaneous speech can also be triggered by the interrupter’s enthusiasm or active involvement in the discourse to express rapport or cooperation.
