In my thesis, I investigate the problems of beauty which occur in Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray and Massimo Bontempelli's The Life and Death of Adria and Her Children, because both novels address some of the main issues of beauty. In my thesis I investigate the problems by drawing upon Wilde's views on decadent aesthetics, Life, Art and morals. I also proivde a brief insight into the problems of beauty concerning gender, time and the corruption of the soul.hu_HU
