The advent of consumerism and the rapid growth of international trade have led to an increase in the production and distribution of goods across Europe. While this has undoubtedly provided consumers with a wide range of choices, it has also raised concerns about the safety and quality of products available in the market. Defective products can pose significant risks to consumers, causing injuries, property damage, and financial losses. To address these concerns, European legislation has established a framework for compensation for damage caused by defective products.
