The main focus of this thesis is to analyze the economic condition of Egypt, factors that led to the 2011 revolution, and how the economy was consequently impacted. Graphs and figures were used to demonstrate the trend of some economic indicators, years analyzed were from 2000 to 2016. Egypt’s economy has faced critical ups and downs throughout the 21st century. The Egyptian revolution brought with it political instability and economic unrest affecting mostly the international sectors that require intact foreign country relationships. The thesis concludes with the new structural reform program that was implemented in 2016 with the support of the International Monetary Fund. Additionally, a lot of effort is being placed towards executing mega-projects that are projected to bring great economic benefits to the country.hu_HU
