Healthcare discrimination is one of the major vices that plagues our society today. In an ever-changing society, the sad reality is that a large number of people are not assured adequate healthcare even if they have the financial resources to afford it. The purpose of this thesis was to highlight discrimination in healthcare, the different forms and possible ways to tackle discrimination today. At the end of the study, it became considerably clearer that there is discrimination in the healthcare system today and it happens in various forms and settings based on the different articles reviewed. By identifying the different forms of this vice in healthcare, possible solutions such as implementation of the Cross-Border Healthcare Directive in the African Union and development of anti-discrimination policies were also suggested to limit its occurrence in healthcarehu_HU
