Community building on the other hand is a term mainly used for groups, communities involving people. It focuses on the group and on its members. The aim is to give a chance to the group members through different activities to improve and to learn something about themselves. Within community development there are a number of terms and strategies that I would like to highlight in this thesis, like volunteering and how it can be related to community building, trainings and its beneficial aspects on the long term in society and community service. Obviously all these have different aspects and backgrounds in different countries. In the Anglo-Saxon world it is very similar, it has different traditions in Europe and it has just started to grow in Hungary. It is a very interesting task to explore these different fields and to see what we can learn from them. This is the fundamental aim of this thesis.hu_HU
