The aim of this diploma project was to assess the quality of wines from Moldova and Hungary, as well as to identify their benefits for human health. The literature review allowed to better understanding of the opportunities and weaknesses of the wine industry in Moldova and Hungary, in order to provide the most relevant and relevant recommendations based on the research results. Samples of dry red Cabernet-Sauvignon wine were selected for the study. Samples were originated from various PGIs and PDOs of Hungary and Moldova to acquire the most complete and demonstrative outcomes. As the antioxidant capacity of wines, which is induced by different polyphenols, is one of the most important health-promoting properties, a study of the overall content of polyphenolic compounds as well as the total flavonoids in the analysed wine samples was conducted to determine possible health-beneficial possessions, using UV/visible spectrophotometer. The WineScan equipment was used to conduct an inspection of the tested wines in order to determine their quality. In order to determine the quality of wines, the acquired data were compared to the demands of Hungary's and Moldova's policy statements.hu_HU
