In this day and age, directors tend to show the bigger picture and give the audience different point-of-views regarding characters with the help of newer patterns. With the help of such techniques and patterns, such as origin stories, films have the ability to trigger intense emotional responses from the viewers. In this thesis, I focus on the techniques the directors of A Clockwork Orange and Joker used in order to influence the invested audience members when it came to how they think of the protagonists.
