Under the Spell of London: The Depiction of Nigerian Immigrants in Buchi Emecheta's Second-class Citizen and Chris Cleave's Little Bee

Abstract

In my thesis, I intended to introduce how the legal, cultural and social differences between England and Nigeria influence the protagonists' everyday life and way of thinking; in addition, I examined to what extent the British discriminate black people because of their race.
