In my thesis, I explore how representing masculinity changed in modern movies in contrast to earlier cinema. I chose three movies for reference; Fight Club by David Fincher, Filth by Jon S. Baird and Joker by Todd Phillips. Through the main characters of each movie, I demonstrate how different new movies are in terms of representing men and masculinity. All of them have problems and traumas, making them vulnerable which highlights this unique way of representing men. Mental issues, indifference, weaknesses and the crisis of masculinity are the main points of my thesis.hu_HU
