The effects of isoflurane on the neurological system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, digestive system, urinary system, endocrine system, reproductive system pregnancy and in paediatrics will be discussed in detail, including the consequences of its vasodilatory and smooth muscle relaxing effects, its hinderance on cognitive learning and memory as well as its potential to elicit hyperglycaemia.
