Perception of Obesity in Medical Students in Uganda

Abstract

A cross sectional study conducted among medical students in Uganda investigating attitudes towards obese individuals. Discussion of the role the culture plays in attitudes towards obesity. A look into how attitudes possessed by the participants might affect future service delivery. Comparison and analysis of findings from similar studies related to obesity bias and its impact on the health care system and obese patients. Recommendations on how to address negative attitudes towards obese individuals.
