Surface water pollution today is a major environmental concern around the world, thereby tending to stimulate serious hygienic and ecological problems (Chavan 2013; Jung et al. 2016). The surface water quality is a very sensitive issue (Simeonov et al., 2003). Is becoming an important factor to hinder social and economic development (Yidana, Ophori, & Banoeng-Yakubo, 2008). Consequently, prevention and controlling of river pollution and a fundamental understanding of hydro-morphological, chemical and biological characteristics through multivariate analysis for the water quality monitoring data are an imperative stipulation for effective and long-term management (Chen et al., 2003). Only through the accuracy of water quality analysis and monitoring can water quality be reasonably assessed, and the planning and management of the aquatic environment is targeted (Li, Zou, & An, 2016). This study assesses the water quality in the Tócó pond which is part of Tócó river after analyzing some of physical and chemical parameters and determining the main factors which effects on the quality of water by using multivariate statistical analysis.hu_HU
