This thesis is about the development of a school management system that aims to streamline the day to day activities of a school. With a school management system, most tasks can be automated or made much easier to perform when compared to the previous systems of school management. The school management system was built as a web application making use of the python framework - Django alongside HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The system was built with 4 users in mind - Students, Parents, Teachers and Admins, but can be updated to fit any school's requirement. The thesis explains how the database is structured and how each tables are linked. We also described how certain functionalities were implemented. E.g The unique ID generator.
