| dc.description.abstract | SARS-CoV-2 infection in pregnancy put this population group and the fetus at a very high risk of adverse complications as a result of the physiological changes that occur in pregnancy and the rapid immunological response to the the infection. The cardiovascular, immune, hemostatic systems are affected in these women. Fetus are at risk as a result of SARS-CoV-2 plancentitis that could lead to preterm birth, IUGR, SGA. Upon infection, early management is strongly advised to manage disease severity. COVID-19 vaccination should be recommended to pregnant patient as early as possible. | |
