The focus of my thesis is examining and understanding how the different factors that shaped the royal family and made it possible for them to move away from their traditional values towards modernisation are represented in The Crown (Peter Morgan, 2016) and The Queen (Stephen Frears, 2006). In many cases, the media – television, the press, photos – had a key role in this. Other times, different people, including Princess Margaret, Princess Diana and Prime Minister Tony Blair contributed to the modernisation of the monarchy.hu_HU
