Psoriasis is a chronic skin disease with a relapsing and remitting course. Several types of treatments are available to help treat this disease. Local treatment and systemic treatments are used to control the severity of psoriasis. This thesis reviews the pharmacology, efficacy and complications of these therapies. Medical research suggests that there is no complete cure for psoriasis but the therapies available help to control the symptoms and the severity of this disease.
