In my thesis I will write about the application of science and technology in police work and in criminal proceedings in the USA. My purpose is to show that police work and investigation are permeated with results and achievements of scientific research and technical inventions and innovations. I wish to draw attention to the fact that this field of society extensively relies on findings of several disciplines and special areas. The law enforcement profession has had to adopt to radical changes continuously taking place in the world of criminals. It became vital that standard knowledge of forensics and investigation should have a place in police training to keep pace with criminals.
