This work aimed to study the factors affecting the price of domestic rice in those markets in which rice has a special place on people's tables. The price has been chosen as the dependent variable. All other independent variables have an influence on the domestic rice price of the selected countries. After much elaboration using cross-sectional regressions, analyses were suitable for the years 2014, 2016, and 2018. The results of this thesis point out three key variables which influence the price of rice. Those are the GDP per capita, rice production, and free trade.
