Coagulase negative staphylococcus strains have ability to acquire resistance genes against a huge number of antimicrobial drugs, because of a structural change in the penicillin-binding protein (PBP). Ceftaroline is a new cephalosporin which binds to PBPs on bacterial cell walls leading to irreversible inhibition of cell-wall synthesis. The aim of this study was analysis of the in vitro effectivity of ceftaroline with disk diffusion test according to the EUCAST guidelines.hu_HU
