dc.description.abstractThis article emphasizes the need for more studies to determine the efficacy of herbal treatments for treating asthma while highlighting the potential hazards and advantages of using them. Although some studies point to benefits, the facts are still unclear because of out-of-date research and language barriers—the majority of the literature is written in Chinese and Japanese. Herbal therapies are becoming more popular despite the absence of scientific evidence. Patients seeking alternatives to traditional medication are frequently motivated by worries about side effects and a desire for individualized care. Still, there are false beliefs regarding the safety of herbal remedies because they might be contaminated, of low quality, or misidentified. Moreover, regulation varies globally, with Germany exemplifying stricter control through comprehensive monographs, highlighting the importance of physician awareness and patient education regarding herbal product use and potential risks.
