Sustainable consumption and production is about promoting resource and energy efficiency, sustainable lifestyle, and development that could be achieved through green economy. This study describes current patterns of sustainable consumption with possible solutions in addressing environmental problems with a particular focus on education and policy intervention among local community. The focus within the study was directed towards consumers in Turkmenistan. Aim was to find out consumption patterns of local people and to discuss research outcomes, policies, and practical initiatives in addressing sustainable consumption problems.
