This thesis aims to review the practical aspects about prefabricated posts and the influencing factors during their application, in order to give guidance to the dental clinician and facilitate a successful clinical outcome. Prefabricated posts offer predicable and reliable options for endondontically treated teeth. The use of fiber posts has been very popular nowadays. The dentist should choose a prefabricated post system that best fits the individual needs of each tooth.
