The Safety and Efficacy of Rituximab in Nephrotic Syndrome

Abstract

This thesis investigates the safety and efficacy of rituximab in chronic kidney disease patients with immune-mediated glomerular diseases. It focuses on conditions such as membranous nephropathy and podocytopathies. Using data from the UDMed database, the study evaluates clinical response, renal outcomes, relapse, and adverse events. The aim is to determine whether rituximab offers effective disease control while maintaining an acceptable safety profile in CKD patients. Overall, the thesis highlights rituximab as a promising targeted therapy in complex immune-mediated renal disease.
