The main purpose of the study is to explore the Asian American women body image experiences, women who identifies as having had concern with weight and eating disorder. The study also explore the effects of value acculturation and the media influence on Asian American women.result showed that women experience oppression, and they reported negative beliefs about their bodies and they share experiences when they felt exposed,objectified,and self conscious.Women who identified more strongly with traditional Asian value reported high level of body dissatisfaction and women who reported higher internalization of media portrayals of beauty ideals reported higher body image dissatisfaction .
