Nowadays, comics are not valued as they should. For this reason I am trying to show that why we should focus on them. Also, I introduce the three great categories by origin, putting emphasis on Japanese comics, manga. Later on I explain what kind of cultural and linguistic difficulties arise in the translation process. Finally, I analyze the format of comics and visuality appearing in them.
