As for the structure of the thesis, first, an overview will be given about the impact of William Butler Yeats and Thomas Hardy on Larkin’s poetry. This will be followed by the description of mask lyrics and dramatic lyrics. Then, most of the thesis will be devoted to the analysis of individual poems.
