Insulin resistance is a growing phenomenon currently due to the increasing risk factors in modern society. Therefore, treatment of insulin resistance should be of great importance to decrease morbidity and mortality. Novel therapy of insulin resistance is a rising and still ongoing field. This thesis discussed several novel therapies with experiment proved for these treatments. Nevertheless, there are many patho-mechanisms of insulin resistance that is waiting to be discovered and put onto trials of inventing novel and effective drugs.
