This thesis reviews the history of ADHD and its various treatments. It narrates the story of how the disorder came to be, how it developed and highlights the different treatments based on e.g. age, severity of disorder, co-morbidity and proved efficacy. Attempts to reduce abuse, combat stigma and the concerns of over-diagnosis and importance to treat is also discussed.
