In this thesis my aim is to introduce the location where most of the German immigrants settled down: the dishes (the hamburger, hot-dog, strudel and many others), beverages (mainly beer) and customs (the Christmas tree) they brought with themselves, the events (carnivals, and masked balls), and famous people (Steinway, Levi Strauss, Karl Pfizer) who have German roots in the New World.hu_HU
