It was confirmed that decreasing the core temperature of a patient who sustained a cardiac arrest could aid in improving the survival rate after resuscitation.The present thesis reviews the available literature with regards to TTM in post-cardiac arrest patients paying special attention to the optimal temperature and time duration of the induced hypothermia.
