Hand hygiene is one of the simple ways to prevent Hospital-Acquired Infections from which both healthcare workers and patients will benefit. Assessing the knowledge, attitude and practice of medical staff about hand hygiene in the hospital indicates barriers for their compliance for public health professionals to improve intervention programs more effective. A cross-sectional study was implemented in Thu Duc Hospital, Vietnam and online questionnaire was used to collect the data from doctors and nurses. In general, the knowledge, attitude and practice about hand hygiene among participants were considered good, which accounted for 51.2%, 57.9% and 70.2%, respectively. Specific programs to promote hand hygiene should be implemented for the younger group of healthcare staff.
