I worked in the applied chemistry department for a couple of months and my main aim was to use the MALDI to characterize non-polar polymers. To carry out this experiment I decided to focus a particular non-polar polymer and which was poly isobutylene. I characterized my polymer by determining the end groups, the average molecular weight, the measured and calculated values, and finally, the isotopic distributions. For this experiment I characterized six different PIB’s.hu_HU
