This thesis focuses on the drug therapy of the major causes of pregnancy related mortality according to WHO. It also gives insight into the few physiologic changes in pregnancy that could affect drug use. The fact that drug trials cannot be carried out on pregnant women limits the kinds of drugs that are used and better prospects in this area. Hence, it is important to discuss the drugs currently used and any side effects they could pose to the mother and fetus. In conclusion, the concept of drug use in pregnancy is an inevitable topic and should be constantly reviewed to ensure good health of mother and developing fetus.hu_HU
