This study deals with semantic priming on the basis of the books titled Semantic Priming Perspectives from Memory and Word Recognition by Timothy P. McNamara and Psycholinguistics Central Topics by Alan Garnham. In addition to this, with the help of several other semantic priming study and researches, this study aims to observe some priming effects in the Hungarian language to get a kind of view how semantic priming works not just in languages such as English but also in Hungarian. In order to reach and understand the theories and observations of semantic priming researches this study starts with those problems and definitions which are inevitable for the process of priming, for example: brain function, creation of language, mental lexicon, lexical access, word recognition, word association and results of semantic priming researches.hu_HU
