dc.description.abstractThis thesis compiles recent data on the uses, effectiveness and side effects of anti-VEGF therapy. It demonstrates its significance in the fields of oncology, ophthalmology and cardiology. The thesis dwells deeper into the clinical significance of anti-VEGF therapy in debilitating diseases such as AMD, hypertension and diabetes as well as life-threatening conditions like cancer. In addition the adverse side effects and additional proposed uses are explained.
