Evaluating the effectiveness of greywater (laundry water) treatment techniques by complex chemical analysis and toxicology tests
Absztrakt
Water scarcity is a major issue nowadays, and for that reason safe and low-cost treatment methods need to be studied and used, especially when it comes to agriculture, which consumes approximately 70% of the water use globally. Therefore, the objective of this study was to analyze synthetic greywater of laundry fraction, as an ecotoxicological test, through its quantitative and qualitative properties in order to understand if this type of wastewater can be a viable option for the germination of plants by using mustard seeds as an example.
