The perioral and vermilion lip regions are susceptible to photodamage and other carcinogens, making them prone to precancerous lesions and nonmelanoma skin cancers. SCC and BCC are the most common skin cancers that develop in these regions, with lip squamous carcinoma being the most prevalent oral cavity tumor. A team approach is essential in managing tumors in these areas, given their functional and cosmetic significance. Diagnosis and staging can be done through clinical examination, biopsy, and imaging studies, including X-rays of the chest and neck region. Surgery is the preferred treatment, although radiotherapy may be used in certain cases. Personalized facial reconstruction is necessary to restore both function and appearance.
