Corpora of Written English

Abstract

This writing is about a topic that is developing fast and is very beneficial but it is not exploited as much as it should be in my opinion. Nowadays many kinds of large text corpora are easily available online, and they can help our work as teachers, translators or linguists. It sums up what a corpus is good for, how it looks like, what its structure is like, how to compile one, where to download one from.
