dc.description.abstractDry Eye Disease is a common disorder of the ocular surface which affects millions of people with varying severity. Untreated dry eye disease results in inflammation, corneal surface abrasion, corneal ulcers even vision loss.Current diagnosis of the dry eye includes - corneal and conjunctival dye staining -Meibomian gland grading -Schirmer test -tear osmolarity -tear film stability -tear film interferometry -questionnaires. Current treatments of the Dry Eye Disease can be grouped under 4 different headings -Make lifestyle and dietary changes -Treat Lid Disease -Reduce inflammation and Enhance tear volume/quality.hu_HU
