In my thesis I would like to write about one aspect of this change, namely, vocabulary enrichment in the Middle English period due to the Norman Conquest. I will present the historical background – what events led to the Conquest and what consequences the Conquest had. Besides vocabulary enrichment, I will also mention other changes that were taking place during the Middle English period: changes in orthography, dialectal divisions and grammar, since these aspects of the language are often interrelated.hu_HU
