dc.description.abstract | The ECS has been found to play a major role in numerous systems of the human body. It influences the central and peripheral nervous system, energy metabolism, pain perception, the cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, musculosketal and reproductive systems by means that are just now starting to be clarified. Understanding the mechanisms by which the ECS exerts its effect could help discover new treatments to a wide range of disorders. In this thesis, I provide a review of the endocannabinoid system; the physiology, pharmacology and potential therapeutic applications in a wide range of diseases and pathologies. | hu_HU |
