Contemporary pop culture trends have an immense influence on our lives and mental health. One of the most important aspects of the influence of pop culture on our lives is our mental health, particularly eating disorders and our self-perception. This paper analyses the reasons why contemporary culture trends are so influential and how can we prevent the upcoming comeback of the trend of extreme thinness and diet culture. The research is mostly based on online and personal interviews of 100 people and a theoretical base.
