dc.description.abstractThe importance of consumer legislation and the free market economy cannot be overstated. Consumer protection is a major concern for society, as implementing regulations and principles that best protect consumers is challenging. This study demonstrates the challenges governments have in executing trade rules and removing unfair trade and market obstacles. Customers should be encouraged to sue for unfair commercial practices and should be compensated if any indicators of unfair practices are discovered. Access to information and vested powers should be provided to public authorities involved in criminal law so that they can continue to investigate incidents of fraud or unfair practices within the EU.hu_HU
