Reproduction biotechnology of small ruminants differs from other species mainly because of their anatomical features. The Lacaune dairy breed has evolved from a low-yield, dual-purpose breed to a high-yield breed over the past few decades while maintaining its ability to produce meat, specifically the growth rate of sheep. The pregnancy rate in laparoscopic insemination gradually reduces with the age of ewes. The difference in pregnancy rate among the different age groups also indicates the aspect of the age factor on the efficiency of estrous synchronization methods followed by one the reproductive assisted techniques L.A.I.
