Hydraulic systems are vital in modern aircraft, supporting functions like flight control, landing gear, and braking. However, their high weight impacts fuel efficiency and operational costs. This research explores incorporating lightweight materials such as titanium alloys, aluminum alloys, and fiber-reinforced composites into hydraulic actuator design. These materials exhibit high strength, biocompatibility, and resilience under extreme conditions. Using computational analysis and parametric studies, the study demonstrates that lighter actuators improve fuel efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and enhance sustainability. It also evaluates the lifecycle benefits of material substitution, including cost reductions and compliance with low-flammability standards. The findings suggest that material innovations could revolutionize hydraulic systems, improving efficiency and environmental performance in aerospace applications.
